The partial examination is intended for participants who have already successfully passed one part of the telc German B1 examination and only need to complete the remaining part.

Requirements for Participation

To register for the partial examination, you must have already successfully passed one of the two examination components:

• Written examination passed → Registration for the oral partial examination

• Oral examination passed → Registration for the written partial examination

Proof that you have already successfully passed the relevant part of the examination is required.

After you register, we will contact you by email to request the documents required to complete your registration.

Please have the following documents ready:

• Proof that you have successfully passed one part of the examination

• A copy of a valid identification document

Your registration can only be completed once we have received all required documents.

The telc German B1 examination provides proof of German language skills at an intermediate level. The telc B1 certificate is internationally recognised and may be particularly relevant for work, vocational training, residence, and integration in Germany.

The examination is based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR) and assesses both written and oral communication skills. B1 level confirms that you are able to communicate independently in German in many everyday and typical communication situations.
