Right of Withdrawal

Version 2.0Last updated 15 April 2026

Right of Withdrawal

Consumers generally have the right to withdraw from distance contracts and contracts concluded outside business premises within fourteen days without giving any reason. The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which the contract is concluded. Contracts concluded exclusively on a company's business premises are not generally subject to this statutory right of withdrawal.

To exercise your right of withdrawal, you must inform us,

AKAZA Education GmbH
Hans-Poeche-Straße 5
info@akaza-education.de

by means of a clear statement, for example by email or post, of your decision to withdraw from this contract.

You may use the attached model withdrawal form for this purpose, but this is not mandatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline it is sufficient that you send the notice of exercise of the right of withdrawal before the withdrawal period expires. The wording of this notice is based on the statutory model for the right of withdrawal.

Consequences of Withdrawal

If you withdraw from this contract, we shall refund all payments we have received from you without undue delay and at the latest within fourteen days from the day on which we received the notice of your withdrawal. For this refund we will use the same means of payment that you used for the original transaction, unless expressly agreed otherwise with you. In no event will you be charged any fees as a result of this refund. This handling of the refund is in accordance with the statutory requirements for withdrawal.

If you have expressly requested that lessons or other services should begin during the withdrawal period, you must pay us an appropriate amount in the event of withdrawal. This amount corresponds to the share of services already rendered up to the time of your withdrawal in proportion to the total scope of the services agreed under the contract. Such compensation for value is provided for by law in the case of services where early commencement was expressly requested.

When the Right of Withdrawal Expires

For a service contract, the right of withdrawal only expires once the service has been performed in full and only if you have expressly consented in advance to us beginning the performance of the service before the end of the withdrawal period and you have at the same time confirmed that you are aware that your right of withdrawal will expire upon full performance of the contract. The mere start of a course or first attendance does not legally suffice for this purpose.

No Right of Withdrawal for Contracts Concluded on Our Business Premises

Where the contract is concluded exclusively on the business premises of AKAZA Education GmbH, no statutory right of withdrawal generally exists, unless otherwise expressly agreed in an individual case. This follows from the fact that the statutory right of withdrawal generally only applies to distance contracts and contracts concluded outside business premises.
