2. General Information on Data Processing

We process personal data only insofar as this is necessary to provide our website, handle inquiries, deliver language courses, perform contracts, and meet legal obligations.

Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person.

Processing is carried out in particular on the basis of the GDPR, in particular:

  • for the performance of pre-contractual measures and the performance of a contract,
  • for compliance with legal obligations,
  • on the basis of legitimate interests,
  • or on the basis of your consent, where such consent is required.

The applicable legal bases derive in particular from Art. 6 GDPR.

3. Website Access / Server Log Files

When you access our website, the hosting provider or web server automatically records information. This may include in particular:

6. Course Registration and Contract Processing

If you register for a language course, language training, exam preparation, individual lessons, corporate training or other services, we process the personal data required for that purpose.

This may in particular include:

  • first and last name
  • address
  • contact details
  • date of birth
  • billing and payment data
  • course data
  • language level / placement data
  • communication content
  • any documents or evidence required for the course, where applicable

We process this data to handle your registration, perform the contract, issue invoices, organise the lessons, communicate with you, and meet statutory retention and record-keeping obligations.

7. Participation in Online Lessons

Where language courses are delivered online, we process the data required to deliver the digital lesson.

This may in particular include:

  • name and displayed participant name
  • email address
  • technical connection data
  • audio, video and chat data during the lesson
  • attendance information
  • any learning materials or assignments transmitted, where applicable

Processing is carried out to deliver the booked lesson.

Important:

Recordings of online lessons, screenshots, screen recordings or any other captures by us only take place where this has been expressly announced and a corresponding legal basis exists, in particular consent or a clear contractual provision. Participants may not record or pass on lesson content, video/audio streams or chat history without express permission.

8. Participation in On-site Lessons

For on-site courses we process the data required to organise and deliver the lesson. This may in particular include attendance data, course assignments, placements and organisational information.

9. Payment Processing

To process payments we process the data required for that purpose. Depending on the payment method, this may take place via external payment service providers. In that case, the data necessary for payment processing is transmitted to the relevant payment service provider.

Where you use specific payment service providers, these should be added here by name.

10. Applications

If you apply to us, we process your application data exclusively for the purpose of conducting the application procedure.

This may in particular include:

  • master data
  • contact details
  • application documents
  • certificates
  • CV
  • correspondence

If you are not hired, we generally delete your data after the application procedure has been concluded, unless statutory retention obligations apply or you have expressly consented to longer storage.

11. Newsletter

Where we offer a newsletter and you sign up, we process your data exclusively to send the newsletter and manage your consent.

We generally use the double opt-in procedure to ensure that the registration was actually made by the holder of the email address.

You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future, for example via the unsubscribe link in the newsletter or by sending us a message.

12. Disclosure to Third Parties

We disclose your personal data only where:

  • this is necessary to perform a contract,
  • we are legally obliged to do so,
  • you have given consent,

Where external service providers process personal data on our behalf, this takes place on the basis of a data processing agreement, where legally required.

13. Storage Duration

We store personal data only for as long as necessary for the respective purposes or for as long as statutory retention obligations apply.

Data is then deleted or blocked unless a further legal basis for processing exists.

Statutory retention periods may derive in particular from commercial and tax law.

Under the GDPR you have in particular the following rights:

  • right to restriction of processing
  • right to data portability
  • right to object
  • right to withdraw a granted consent with effect for the future
  • right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority

These data subject rights derive in particular from Art. 15 to 21 GDPR.

If you believe that the processing of your personal data is unlawful, you may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.

15. Data Security

We implement technical and organisational security measures to protect your personal data against loss, destruction, manipulation and unauthorised access.

Our website should use encrypted transmission via HTTPS / SSL or TLS to ensure that data can be transmitted securely.

16. External Services and Embedded Content

External content or services may be embedded on our website, for example:

We reserve the right to amend this privacy policy so that it always meets current legal requirements or to reflect changes to our services and processes. The currently applicable version of the privacy policy will then apply on your next visit.
